Flipped classrooms turn the class around. By having the students do the lessons as homework, and then do the homework during class, is an effective way for students to really get the help they need.
Before class, students prepare themselves to participate in class activities. Such as reading the chapter before the lesson or watching a video about the topic. During class, students practice applying key concepts with feedback. This will be things like students doing the practice problems from their math textbook or doing a timed-writing in english class. After class, students check their understanding and extend their learning. This could blogging about their learning or finding resources that reinforce learning and expand their mind.
