Amy, a business developer for SMART, shows the new features available for classrooms in 2014:

In the beginning of the day, I would have each student sign in using the interactive SMART Board, either popping the balloon with their name in it, or dragging their name into the school image. This is an easy way to check who and who is not at school that day. The children could also use similar techniques to check "Hot or Cold Lunch."
Next, I would have the class collaborate and put the arrow by the month, put the days of the week in order, and check their answers. By using the interactive SMART Board, the students will be more engaged in classroom participation. By dragging their name on the board to rearranging the days of the week, students have the chance to participate in simple activities rather than sitting in silence in the back of the room. |
By including SMART Technology in the classroom, students have access to interactive learning tools and high quality resources while teachers have the materials necessary for district/state wide standardized learning platforms. Just because learning is "standardized" doesn't mean it has to be boring!
