What do you think about teachers and students using social media as educational tools in schools?
Being a "technology baby," I am accustomed to the internet and other technology devices. My dad tells me stories about how I was two-years-old, with my little head popping about the computer desk, and my tiny hand on the mouse, browsing the computer for games. I do believe this day and age technology is advancing at a rapid rate, as well as the adoption of technology in the classroom. With this arising, technology does have a place and time in the classroom.
Students should not scoff at the sight of a REAL paperback book for Independent Reading. They should not have glazed over eyes when they are asked to do a partner worksheet. Yes, Google Drive, Popplet, and Polleverywhere are extremely useful tools in the classroom, when used at appropriate times, and correctly.

Technology in society, specifically the classroom, is a necessity in the modern day. With the 25th anniversary within the past year, the majority of the world has accepted it into their lives. Though this is a true statement, does technology belong in the classroom for the most effective way to educate the youth?
