Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Edmodo, and Schoology are useful tools for classes. In my opinion, I believe LMS is made for colleges and universities to use for students to keep track of their assignments, grades, and due dates because they do not meet everyday. I think high schools and middle schools would be better off with a system such as Parent Portal for the parents to keep an eye on their child's grades and reports. |
LMSs range from systems for managing training and educational records to software for distributing online or blended/hybrid college courses over the Internet with features for online collaboration. Colleges and universities use LMSs to provide online courses and augment on-campus courses. I think that younger classrooms would not be able to utilize LMS enough for it to be worth teaching the teachers and students how to use it.
